Job Responsibilities

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Division. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of proven experience in managing the commercial aspects of large-scale building construction projects. The QS will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, budget control, and ensuring overall project cost-efficiency.

- Experience: Minimum 10 Years is MANDATORY - (Gulf Experience is Preferred)

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents for building projects.

Monitor project budgets, track variations, and prepare cost control reports.

Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate contract terms.

Manage and process monthly valuations, progress payments, and final accounts.

Conduct site measurements and verify quantities for interim and final payments.

Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve commercial issues.

Analyze project risks and provide mitigation cost strategies.

Support procurement activities, including preparing scope of works and purchase orders.

Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.

Prepare project cost forecasts and cash flow projections.

Conduct value engineering and provide cost-saving recommendations.

Assist in contract administration including claims, extensions of time, and variations.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, with a strong focus on building projects (residential, commercial, or institutional).

In-depth knowledge of construction contracts.

Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS software.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
