Program and operate CNC bending machines, ensuring accurate bends according to blueprints and specifications, optimizing for speed and material yield.
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks, using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances, and make necessary adjustments.
• Select and load appropriate tooling, including punches and dies, into the CNC bending machine, and maintain the tooling in optimal condition.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues and reporting significant problems to maintenance, and ensuring minimal downtime.
Desired Candidate Profile
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in a related field is a plus.
• Possess strong understanding of bending principles, metal properties, and blueprint reading.
• Proficient in operating and programming CNC bending machines, with experience in various control systems.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in CNC bending machine operation, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
