Position Summary
The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all mechanical activities related to utility-scale Solar PV projects. The role includes installation of module mounting structures, trackers, equipment foundations, mechanical works, quality control, and coordination with civil, electrical, and commissioning teams to ensure safe and timely project completion.

## Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Supervise mechanical installation activities for utility-scale Solar PV projects.
* Coordinate installation of module mounting structures, fixed-tilt systems, and solar trackers.
* Review mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
* Monitor erection of support structures, torque tightening, alignment, and leveling.
* Coordinate with civil and electrical teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
* Conduct inspections and verify mechanical installation quality.
* Prepare daily progress reports, work schedules, and material requirements.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for project activities.
* Resolve mechanical issues during construction and commissioning.
* Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
* Ensure all work complies with Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures and safety regulations.

## Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of Solar PV mounting systems and tracker installations.
* Experience with steel structures, bolted connections, and torque specifications.
* Ability to read mechanical drawings and installation layouts.
* Knowledge of construction quality control procedures.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office.
* Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

## Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
* Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Registration (Preferred).
* OSHA/NEBOSH/IOSH Certification is an advantage.

## Experience
* **5–8 years** of Mechanical Engineering experience.
* Minimum **3 years** in **Utility-Scale Solar PV Projects**.
* Experience in installation of module mounting structures, trackers, and mechanical equipment.
* GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience preferred.

## Preferred Experience
* Utility-scale Solar PV projects (50MW+).
* Experience with EPC contractors such as L&T, ACWA Power, Masdar, or other major renewable energy companies.
* Knowledge of international standards and quality procedures.
