Job Responsibilities

A UAE-based logistics operation is expanding its team with a Logistics Supervisor who can coordinate transportation activities, guide operational staff, and keep the movement of goods organized and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
Direct daily dispatch and distribution activities.
Assign routes, duties, and schedules to delivery personnel.
Review shipment requirements and coordinate timely dispatch.
Monitor deliveries and communicate status updates to concerned teams.
Coordinate with warehouse personnel for order preparation and release.
Check delivery paperwork before goods leave the facility.
Handle operational disruptions such as delays, failed deliveries, or vehicle issues.
Maintain communication with drivers, customers, suppliers, and transport partners.
Review returned shipments and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
Monitor the use of vehicles, equipment, and logistics resources.
Keep track of daily operational figures and prepare management updates.
Guide team members on company procedures and safe handling practices.
Identify areas where delivery processes can be improved.
Ensure logistics activities remain aligned with company schedules and service standards.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related discipline.
Prior supervisory experience within logistics, distribution, or transport operations.
Practical understanding of route planning, dispatch procedures, and delivery coordination.
Ability to lead teams and make quick operational decisions.
Good command of Excel, email, and standard office applications.
Strong communication skills with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
Capable of handling time-sensitive assignments and unexpected issues.
Organized approach to maintaining operational records.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
UAE/GCC industry experience is an added advantage.
