• Job title :
Carpenter Technician ( Exhibition / Installation )
• Duties and Responsibilities :
1- Plan work sequences at the direction of the Construction / Services Manager. Communicates and collaborates effectively to move production processes forward in the most cooperative, safe, economical, efficient and resourceful manner. Works with the colleagues to meet deadlines and conduct work within established budgets.
2- Constructs, remodels, repairs, installs, de-installs, upgrades and makes safe the carpentry and general conditions of the Museums. Assists with in-house construction including carpentry, fittings and labor work.
3- Employs methods and techniques appropriate to each project in style, durability, quality, and safety while meeting established standards of excellence at the Museums.
4- Adeptly and safely operates many types of power tools. Utilizes up-to-date knowledge of the latest or newest construction materials being developed and where they may be used to benefit the Museums. Is able to keep tools and equipment in good operating condition including adjustments, sharpening and repairs.
5- Able to fabricate items from simple drawings or verbal instructions. Assists with demolition and construction of new elements as necessary.
6- Maintains proper working order of doors and door hardware in the building. He makes repairs or call a door contractor to assist with the repairs. Responsible for changing and maintaining lock cores in the doors throughout the Museum.
7- Responsible for daily maintenance and check of the gallery carousel. Maintaining proper records to ensure a smooth yearly inspection.
• Desired Skills and Experience:
Minimum 4 Years of experience in relevant fields.
English Communication.
Computer Skills.
