Role and Responsibilities
The Backup, Storage & Unix Admin will be responsible for Installation, configuration, administration, troubleshoot,
resolution and related components, ensuring extremely high availability rates.
Key Accountabilities:
Configure and administer Storage Area Network (SAN) and associated components; including Fibre Channel switch
administration.
Perform monitoring, administration, troubleshooting, and resolution of service network, storage, and compute
nodes, ensuring extremely high availability rates.
Perform monitoring, administration, troubleshooting, and resolution of Backup & Storage, ensuring extremely high
availability rates.
Expertise in planning and Implementation of Backup, Storage, Unix deployments, upgrades and migrations.
Preparing the High level and low level design documents
Document the policies and procedures to support the operational Backup & Storage environment and participate
in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policies
Prepare reports on Backup & Storage administration best practices, new technologies, etc., and recommend
enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize Backup & Storage.
Backup/Recovery/Restoration/Testing of Linux/ Windows Host, Oracle/SQL/ Exchange Database/SharePoint,
Hyper-V/NDMP, CCTV, Video.
Configuring/ Managing & Troubleshooting Disk Based Backup
Structuring and maintaining a Backup and Restore Process and Policy.

HP Storage works, Comvault, Nutanix with Lenovo, DAS storage, NetApp.
Working on Request Item, Incident task and Change Request and completing them within SLA
Proactive problem resolutions round-the-clock and support to field staff.
Detecting alarms and identifying traffic bottlenecks before delays are out of hand.
Fault, performance, and availability monitoring.
Analyze root causes and reduce repeat incidents to boost your IT help desk's productivity.
Preparing Periodic Status Reports/Dashboard
Coordinates support between third-party vendors and end users.
Understands the principle setup design and implementation.
